Rounding system in place/ Examples: if word count is over 92, 500 words, it will be $950 (AUD).

If word count is over 97, 500, it will be $1000 (AUD).

LINE/COPY EDITS

—2 cents per word charge—

(90k word count—90,000 x 0.02 =1,800 (AUD). 

This is a line by line detailed edit, where two copies of your manuscript are returned.

What YOU RECEIVE back:

1 x clean edit = what your readers will see.

1 x marked-up copy =  manuscript with all edits/changes visible.

1 x editors report = analysis and commentary pdf.

Criteria: you MUST fit the criteria to book this service:

Developmental edits, Line/Copy edits have all been completed.

Minor mistakes and corrections required.

Prior assessment required by editor to decide if eligible for service.

(this service is not eligible for payment plan options).

Full edit package starts at $1600 with 60k word minimum.

80k word count = $1800 (AUD).

100k word count = $2000 (AUD).

120k word count = $2200 (AUD).

140k word count = $2400 (AUD).

If word count is over 90,000 it will be $1900 (AUD). If over 95,000, $1950 (AUD).

L.H. Editorial now runs on a 50/50 payment system.

HOW IT WORKS:

10% booking deposit to secure spot (not an additional cost.)

Then the remainder of the quote to be paid, is split in half.

The first 50%  is due on booking date, as the editing process commences with first read.

Once edits have been completed, an email will be sent by the editor to notify completion of edits, followed by an invoice for the last 50% (final payment).

Please note: Edits will be held until final payment is processed.

If booked the full edit package, final payment will be due before return of the Developmental Edit stage.

When inquiring about your quote, let the editor know if you will need to split the quote into separate payment instalments over the editing period. Please be advised: you will need to take this into account when booking how this may impact timelines, as edits are not released until full quote is paid. 

 

Please note: the full quote must be paid by the end of the editing period and before the return of any edits. If for any reason, your situation changes and you can no longer pay the remaining balance, you must notify the editor immediately.

 

Quotes above $600 (AUD) are eligible for a payment plan option.

NOTE: A 10% deposit of your quote is REQUIRED to secure your booking and is non-refundable, as you are guaranteeing future employment of editor, and booking allotted slot in editor's schedule that others have applied for.

 

A Terms of Employment Contract, outlying all Terms and Conditions (hiring L.H. Editorial services means you have read all terms and conditions) will be sent directly to you to sign before an invoice and secure payment link is sent. Please be advised, this is non-negotiable, and failure to sign will mean submission of work will be declined. If author has changed/altered word count from time of initial quoting and submission, then the Editor reserves the right to reassess the initial quote or potentially refuse to continue on with author in case of perceived purposeful mis-information. ​
